Hillary Clinton will be the new Secretary of State of the United States of America. I know that you may know me as a John McCain supporter, however what you may not know is that I also am a big Hillary fan. Before she lost the Democratic ticket, I supported her and still do. The reason I now support John McCain is because Hillary did not win and also I think that John McCain has better policies on our nation's issues. I was ecstatic when I found out that Hil will be back on top of the hill. Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton's husband, had supported her on her run for presidency and has continued to support her on her decision to accept the offer for Secretary of State. According to dailynews.com Bill Clinton said “As an American, I am thankful. As her husband, I am deeply proud.” In my opinion, I think she is perfect for the job. The reason I think this is because Hillary has so much experience with foreign policy from being the first lady during her husband's presidency and also as a Senator. After that she ran for one of the most important jobs in the world. The President of the United States of America. Even if she didn't win, she still got more experience and engaged in many public debates. However, I think that she should not be Secretary of State because this would put her in a second banana (aka sidekick) situation. I think this will lessen her standing both in America and in foreign affairs because she will have to answer for Obama. Let me give you an example. Imagine if you were once principal of a big important school, and then they demoted you to teacher. How would you feel? Another concern I have for this situation is that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's relationship has not been a cup of tea. During the presidential race, they both exposed each other's skeletons in their own closets. However, in these horrible times we need our whole homeland security team to be excellent. For these reasons and many more, I am appalled that she isn't President, but I am happy she is working closely with our new president.
