Nerd day outfit, Detail from Detail

Today was nerd day in the amazing school i attend and this was my time to show them that nerds admire fashion also, Well.... At least i believe that. The first person who i came to was my wonderful Art teacher Ms. Beatriz Szmurlo. But even before i thought of anything she came up to me and suggested on helping me find a look for today, she took out materials and i saw green fur material, Pipe cleaners, and plaid fabric.

Beatriz suggested to make a bow tie out of the Plaid fabric, I wanted the tie to be Huge! my idea and vision was to be a big nerd, Big glasses, Big bow tie, Big hair! the reason i choose this was because the bigger the things the more it stands out and catches peoples attention. So Beatriz made a bow tie and she said "Like this?" and i said "Nope, bigger" so she made a bigger bow tie that won my heart.... And get this she put the bow together in staples not in thread and it looked amazing and very professional (I'm telling you this lady is amazing). This amazing bow was made out of plain plaid fabric that was pulled out of her closet.

The green eye brows were a tribute to a very good movie i enjoyed when i was a child... "HOW THE GRINCH STOLD CHRISTMAS" many people were asking me why did i use the eyebrows and i didn't tell them because i wanted to wait till now. But if you seen the movie there was a scene were he was picked on and called a nerd because he gave the girl he liked a Christmas gift so the eyebrows were a symbol of not only the movie but also of always having movies with your fashion.

My idea for the glasses were huge square glasses because its not only nerdy but very vintage and retro i wanted to incorporate different little elements from pop culture and nerd fashion into my outfit so these glasses were really important and cool for me. The glasses were also made by Beatriz but i had the idea in my head and even if its just nerd day seeing an idea that was in my head and i visioned come to life was really cool for me. The glasses were made only by pipe cleaners and were really cool because it was easy to adjust to fit me perfect!

The rest of the outfit was mostly H&M. And the jeans were Levi's.
